Pimp This Bum is heading out tonight to provide emergency help to the local homeless. We have not seen weather this cold since I was 5 years old, which means many of the homeless (veterans or not) will likely be unprepared for these low temperatures. Tim Edwards (he is the expert) and I made a list of items we are encouraging as donations:
-Heavy Large Trash Bags (many uses - preventing wind chill is one)
-Warm Socks
-Beanies
-Hoodies
-Gloves that cover the wrist

The day Bobby left for Georgia we found ourselves having to accept the fact that we can't help every candidate we come across. Not but a few hours later, I received an email from a 27 year old from San Bernardino California. It seemed very serendipitous that as one seat became available, another person came out of the wood work who needed our help.

Bobby, one of the original three gentlemen we attempted to help out there on highway 6 and I-10, appeared at our office telling us he was out of money, and that his former boss owed him $2,000 of unpaid wages

Things are going very well over here at PTB. I have just returned from a week long internet marketing conference called PubCon.Tim's chat hasn't been very reliable due in part to the lack of internet we have at the new place. I am making this my top priority. Tim will be purchasing this in his own name, so that he can build some much needed credit.

Tim and I have been preparing to move into an apartment for weeks. We just picked up Zach Ryan, just in time for him to help us move! Woot! ;) Tim now lives in close proximity to work, 12 step meetings, and the grocery store. This gives him the freedom he needs. Tim can now travel via his bike, purchased thanks to 'Charkeebear' and 'DanFan' from the PTB Chat. Tim is working hard at his machinist job, and we are hearing great things from his boss. He tells us Tim's quality of work is top notch.
