Recap of The Tim Edwards Show 12-07-09

Tim was still beaming from the previous Friday's field trip.  The few hours of helping those on the streets really shows a passion and what exactly Sean and Kevin Dolan saw in Tim back in February when they approached him for the entrire PTB idea.  The big guy really has a huge heart and is a fine representative to promote PTB.

Tim had a surprise from a supporter's husband who travels the country and happen to come through Katy today.  Barb-Trip's husband came through with some gifts and took the guys out to lunch.  They discussed business, economic times and the PTB project.  Tim thanked Barb-trip during the broadcast and would love to meet her on the next trip with her husband.

Sean had posted a new video showing the Friday night field trip, located on youtube under the pimpthisbum account.  The video showed the guys passing out supplies to any and every person they could find.  The cold weather front that came in was a surprise to most in Houston and especially those on the street who may or may not been aware of the weather forecasts.  The snow was a surprise and a big hinderance to those who are living out on the streets and Tim, Sean, and Chris did their best to help those they found with food, clothes, sleeping bags, and other survival items. 

 The new PTB video showed Tim visiting the old abanadon building that he had previously shared before coming off the streets.  Tim admitted that he had mixed emotions as he went through the building looking for anyone that may needed some assistance.  After not finding anyone at the building, they proceeded downtown and the video captures only parts of the night, but most can get a feel for how wonderful the night was for them all. 

 Tim again mentioned that he was beyond happy that night and a smile across his face showed it.

Tim was happy to see Kiwi in the chat room tonight.  Jenny (Kiwi) has been a part of PTB since the very beginning.  She has been located on the other side of the world and in different time zone so she has usually missed most of the nightly broadcasts.  Since moving home and not back to work yet she made the effort to catch the broadcast and we all were happy to see her.

As some mentioned in the chat room, the pimpthisbum.com website was down for majority of the day.  The godaddy server was down and literally thousands of websites were down.  Before show was over with, the servers were back up and everything was back to normal.  It was good that several people noticed the site down as that shows people are keeping a check on the pimpthisbum.com website and staying on top of it.

Tim was asked about his work day and he made the statement that it was a normal Monday.  I am sure we all have had those before, and as he said, nothing more to say about a typical Monday. 

Before closing the show Tim wanted to say a thanks to Ustream for all it's help and the donated iphone.  The iphone comes in handy when broadcasting on the go and it helped last Friday night during the field trip as Tim was able to show everyone in the chatroom what was going on as they went about helping the people homeless that they were able to find.

With this being the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, I just wanted to say a thanks to those who are either serving or have served in the armed forces and helped defend our country.
