This time of the year we all sit around and think of the things we are thankful for.  We are all thankful for our families, our jobs in this tough economic climate, and our friends.  Some of us have had the opportunity to meet new friends, add new members to our families, and find or reconnect with those relatives that we haven't seen in years.  I actually have experienced all these this year, but one really stands out to me at this time.  I had the opportunity to meet some new friends about 9 months ago.  I came strolling through a chat room one day, stopped to see what the videoes were about, and found a family that was trying make a difference.

I also found an individual who wanted to make a life changing decision.  He wanted to take a handup and do the things neccesary to become a productive member of society.  This man endured over 4 years of being homeless and living on the streets, endured a painful detox and rehab and now has been sober for 9 months.  This man has shown his strength, courage, his heart and his determination.  This man is Tim Edwards and I am thankful for having him in my life, thankful to call him a friend, and thankful for the life lessons that he has bestowed upon me.

So this thanksgiving has truly been one of a kind.  At a time when most are out looking for a sales item during Black Friday, I am sitting back counting my blessings, thinking of my family, and appreciating my new friends.  This is my way of saying  thanks to the Dolan family, PTB and Tim Edwards.

You've been there from the start bud. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do. You've got an amazing story about overcoming your own challenges. I hope you will take Tim's lead and open up yourself along with your thoughts and feelings about struggles our participants deal with. I look forward to reading more Dan. Glad to call you my friend.
